The Botanic at Raffles City: Vegetarian, Vegan Friendly and Gluten Free Dishes
Salt tapas & bar at Raffles City has revamped to new a concept - The Botanic - which celebrates plant-based dishes with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free plates receiving equal footing on its menu alongside free-range, organic meat and seafood offerings.
Visible from Bras Basah Road, The Botanic resembles a greenhouse with its hanging plants and interiors with botanical features.
The Botanic has a menu that features dishes showcasing eclectic Asian flavours and Mediterranean inspirations, with a substantial vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free offering.
Expect free-range eggs from Japan and organic honey, vegetables and grass-fed meats from Australia sourced together with fresh produce hand selected from local market visits and farmers prominently expressed on the plates at The Botanic. Herbs from local Citizen Farm will also grace the dishes.
Definitely go with family and friends. The Botanic aims to be accessible to all, celebrating relaxed, communal all-day dining with affordable shared plates.
Start with the Kale Salad with seeds, grains, golden raisins, nuts, shallots, capers and pomegranate - refreshing, zesty and surprisingly filling.
The Gnocchi with Parmesan , asparagus, peas, preserved lemon, ricotta and fennel pollen is out of this world! I’d go back for more any day.
Another personal favourite is the Grilled Squid with inked rice, sea herbs, dried tomato and chili. The inked rice is especially noteworthy with its buttery taste, and it’s gluten free too.
End off with the Ginger Flower Panacotta with charred orange, lemongrass and botanics. It tastes as good as it looks!
