Corona Beer Launches Mini Bottle Coronita and Margarita-based Cocktail CoronaRita in Singapore

Corona is “The Number 1 Mexican Beer” in the world; the perfect complement to life’s simple pleasures. The golden colour, light refreshing flavour and iconic hand-painted bottle topped off with a freshly squeezed lime is iconic all around the world. And now, there’s a mini version!

What is a Coronita?

Corona’s little brother, Coronita, is a smaller 210ml bottle of beer versus the existing 355ml. The Coronita has been created especially for beer lovers who love their beers ice cold. Get a smaller bottle so you can finish it up before the beer turns warm (we know no one likes warm beer). It’s also the perfect size if you’re feeling a little frisky during lunch hours and want to have a small beer to complement your meal but are conscious about still having to get back to work after.

What is a CoronaRita?

A CoronaRita is an overturned mini Coronita beer bottle draining into a classic lime margarita. You’ll find this special CoronaRita cocktail at various bars and Mexican restaurants in Singapore including Blu Jaz Cafe, Chimi’s, Chimichanga, Senor Taco, El Mero Mero, and No. 5 Emerald Hill.

Want to make your own CoronaRita cocktail at home? Here’s how:

1. Salt the rim of a margarita glass

2. Mix tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice

3. Shake vigorously

4. Strain into a glass filled halfway with ice

5. Invert the Coronita and place into the glass so the beer flows into the margarita, and garnish with a lime wedge

6. Skip the straw or use a bamboo or metal straw if needed

Enjoy!
